George Blanda was born and Youngwood, Pennsylvania in 1927. Blanda played quarterback at the University of Kentucky were the lead this team to a championship bowl games. In 1949, Blanda signed with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. He eventually became a kicker as well as a quarterback. He played for three different professional football teams the Chicago Bears the Houston Oilers and the Oakland Raiders. By the time he retired from pro football in 1975 Blanda had scored more points than any other player.
