Jane woke up and remembered it was Thanksgiving Day. So, she ran down stairs, and asked her mom, ”Is Grandma and Grandpa here yet?" "No," Mom screamed. "Mom is upset because she can’t find the turkey. So now we are going to have our Thanksgiving meal without turkey," Aaron whispered. Aaron was Jane’s younger brother.
"Grandma and Grandpa are here," yelled Aaron. "Hi, Grandma and Grandpa," Jane said, “Mom lost the turkey so now we are going to have our meal without turkey." Jane’s mom was frantically looking for the turkey. “Aaron go look in the car for the turkey,” she yelled at Aaron. Then Grandma said “Honey I have the turkey, don’t you remember at the grocery store. I told you I would take the turkey and cook it.” The mystery was solved but best of all Jane would have her turkey to eat.
"Are you ready to watch the parade on TV?" Jane asked Grandpa. The parade had a lot of really good floats this year but it was to long it lasted for two hours. After the parade, Grandma and me played cards and as usual, she won most of the time. Then Aaron played her and she beat him too. After we played several more games, I finally beat her.
Then it was time for the Thanksgiving feast. We had potatoes, broccoli, green beans, salad, turkey, and dressing. For dessert, there was pumpkin pie.
Jane and Grandma began to put a jigsaw puzzle together. Grandpa and Aaron watched several hours of football. Then we had leftovers for dinner. After dinner was over Grandma and Grandpa went back home.
